DIY Personalized Tote Bag

I made these tote bags for my bridesmaids and the moms as wedding gifts last year and I had such a positive response to them, I decided to make another one as a birthday gift!

Supplies:

  • Tote Bag (This one came from Target’s $5 section during Valentine’s Day)
  • Cricut + Wedding Tools
  • Iron on Foil
  • Iron or Heat Press

Steps:

  1. Using Design Space type what name you would like to be on the bag.
  2. Weld the letters together to make it one cut.
  3. Mirror the image and select iron on as the type of material.
  4. Cut the image out.
  5. Weed the excess foil off of the clear backing so you are only left with what you want to have on the bag.
  6. Place the image where you want it on the bag and iron it on.  Make sure to be careful when removing the plastic to see if any of the vinyl is lifting up.  If the vinyl is still lifting up, use the iron or heat press to press it down again.
  7. Enjoy your bag or fill it up as a present!
