I saw shakey place mats on Pintrest and decided to make heart shaped ones for Valentine’s Day!
Supplies:
- Clear Vinyl (I got mine from Joann)
- Scissors
- Poster board for the template
- Pencil
- Paper for a funnel
- Glitter
- Sewing Machine
- Thread
Steps:
- Draw the template on the poster (make sure to leave enough room to draw the entire design).
- Cut the template out.
- Use the template to cut the vinyl. I cut around the template without using pins because I didn’t want to poke holes in the vinyl.
- Sew the vinyl at 1/4 inch leaving 2 inches open to fill the heart up with glitter.
- Sew the rest of the heart closed.
- Enjoy dinner on your new place mats!
P.S. check your bobbin so you don’t run out of thread in the middle of the project like I did….
This project took me about an 45 minutes to make two hearts.
