Valentine’s Day Door Envelope

Valentine’s Day Envelope

I decided to do a quick 30 minute project to make my front door more festive for Valentine’s Day! I made the envelope out of white felt. The flowers were created by cutting out circles and then cutting a spiral towards the center of the circle. After cutting, I rolled the spiral until I was happy with the way the flower looked and then glued them onto the envelope. To finish the flowers, I glued a few green felt leafs by the base of the flowers. I cut a heart out of red felt and glued it to the envelope. To finish this project, I glued a piece of pom pom trim at the top to hang it on the door. Now to add some love letters!

Supplies:

  • Felt
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun + Glue
  • Ribbon/Trim

Steps:

  1. Cut a square out of the white felt.
  2. Fold 3 corners and glue them together.
  3. Using the ribbon or trim make a loop and glue it to the top so it can hang from a door.
  4. Cut out circles to create the flowers.
  5. Cut spirals into the circles and roll them using hot glue to hold them together.
  6. Cut little green pieces and glue them on for the leafs.
  7. Cut a heart to glue onto the middle of the envelope.
  8. Hang on your door and enjoy!
