Closet Door Makeover

The one thing that I HATE about my house is the classic oak doors and trims on our 2nd floor. Painting the doors and trim is on my to do list but I wanted a quick fix for my sewing room. On a Target shopping trip I found removeable wall paper and decided to cover my closet doors.

Supplies:

  • Closet doors
  • Wash Cloths
  • Fantastic Spray
  • 2 Rolls of Removeable Wallpaper (I bought mine at Target)
  • New door knobs (Mine came from Anthro)
  • Glue Spray

Steps:

  1. Remove the closet doors
  2. Clean them using fantastic spray and a wash cloth and let dry.
  3. Cut the wallpaper down to the size of the door, leaving enough room to cover the top and bottom of the doors.
  4. The wallpaper wouldn’t stick to the top or bottom of my doors since they are unfinished edges, so I used the glue spray to stick the wallpaper to the top and bottom of the doors.
  5. Once the glue spray is dry, put the doors back on the closet
  6. Using the screw of the knobs I poked a hole through the wallpaper where the knob hole is and put then screwed the knobs on.
  7. Enjoy your new closet doors that aren’t classic oak!
