DIY Prosecco Sign

My friend who got married last weekend really wanted the below Prosecco sign from Michael’s to be used as wedding décor. Since the sign was $80, I told her I would make her one. I had extra wood and paint in my garage and I could use the sign as house décor once the wedding was over.

Inspiration:

Supplies:

  • Wood cut in a rectangle
  • Base coat Paint
  • Stencils (I cut mine from the Cricut)
  • Paint for the lettering
  • Paint brushes
  • Ruler
  • Sharpie

Steps:

1. Sand the rectangle down to get a nice clean surface.

2. Paint the rectangle. I painted both sides but you can probably get away with painting one side.

3. Cut out the stencils and place them on the board. To make sure they are straight, use a ruler to measure from the bottom of the board.

4. Traced around the letters with a fine tip sharpie.

5. Use a fine tip paint brush to paint the letters. I did about 3 coats of white paint.
