I wanted to a make a thank you gift for my boss who had helped me learn and grow. She has two black cats so I decided to make an embroidery piece that says “You’re the Cats’ Meow” with a black cat on the fabric.
Supplies:
- Fabric
- Embroidery Hoop
- Embroidery needle
- Embroidery thread
- Scissors
- Template
Steps:
- Put the embroidery hoop on the fabric.
- Cut the excess fabric off from around the hoop.
- Outline the cat and use the the embroidery needle and thread to do a back stitch. (I free handed the cat).
- Print out the template for the words. (I created mine from the Cricut and placed them on the fabric).
- Pin the template where you want it.
- Using the back stitch, follow the template and create the words.
