The Photo Shoot
Since my wedding anniversary is coming up on Sunday, I can’t believe it’s already been a year, I decided to start recapping some of the projects I did for the wedding. Starting with the save the dates! My grandpa built the little red car (I named it when I was 3) and knew I had to use this in my photos. My grandma also gave me the vintage suitcase and trunk case when I was in college and thought it fit the theme perfectly! I came up with the concept by thinking of Matt’s and my styles with incorporating route 66 since we got married in Sedona, Arizona. I had my father in law take the pictures and I used to Photoshop to lightly touch up the pictures!
Get the Photo Shoot Look:
- The romper and over skirt are Mac Duggal that I found at Nordstrom Rack
- The headband is David’s Bridal
- The champagne glasses were bought from Anthro
- The red sunglasses were bought at Banana Republic
- The Route 66 sign was bought at Hobby Lobby, with a coupon of course! I’m currently looking for a way to incorporate the route 66 sign in our house.
Creating the Save Dates:
Supplies:
- The envelopes were from Paper Source (one of my favorite stores).
- Since the theme was a road trip, I got cardstock with maps printed on them.
- Glue sticks
- D stamp, Matt’s last name is Daray.
- Gold Embossing powered.
- Clear ink stamp pad.
- Heat gun.
- Scissors.
- Envelope liner templates. I bought these at Paper Source.
- The save the date postcards. I ordered these from Vistaprint.
Steps:
- Do the photo shoot and edit the pictures!
- Order postcards, mine were from Vistaprint.
- Cut the liners out using scrapbook paper and glue them into the envelopes.
- Stamp the clear ink onto the tip of the envelopes.
- Cover the clear ink in the gold embossing powder.
- Use the heat gun until the powder melts.
- Address them and mail them out!
