The Paper Anniversary

The first anniversary is the paper anniversary. I decided to recreate a wedding picture as a paper collage.

Supplies:

  • Shadow box Frame – I got mine from Michael’s.
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Elmer’s Glue
  • Q-Tips
  • Scissors
  • Picture for inspiration

Steps:

  1. Cut the background to the size of the frame.
  2. Tape the background to the back of the frame.
  3. For the clouds I used some Q-tips fluff and glued it down.
  4. Cut the mid ground out, for mine it was the Sedona Red Rocks. I couldn’t find the correct color paper so I used cream colored paper and painted them to the correct colors and added some shading.
  5. Cut out the foreground, I used three shades of green to create the shading effect.
  6. For Matt and myself, I used my Cricut to cut out a couple holding hands.
  7. I cut out the clothing tracing the people to use as a template.
  8. I painted the detailing on the dress and the hair on the bride and groom.
  9. Once everything is cut out and fits together, glue everything down.
