I made this hat for Matt’s sister-in-law as a bridal shower gift. I aw this type of hat all over Pintrest and Instagram and decided to try DIYing it.

Supplies:

• Straw Hat (I got this one at Michael’s)
• Ribbon
• Needle & Thread
• Pins

Steps:

1. Create a braid in the ribbon. I did this by creating a loop and inserting a 2nd loop through it. I continued to do this until I ran out of ribbon.
2. Place the ribbon the hat using pins to keep it in place.
3. Sew the ribbon to the hat.

I also used this method on a clutch also purchased at Michael’s to create a matching set.
