DIY Bridal Sash

I created this gold sash for my friend’s bacholrette party.

Supplies:

  • Gold Sequin fabric
  • Paint + Paint Brush
  • A stencil
  • Sash for a template
  • E6000
  • Thread

Steps:

  1. Cut the sequin fabric out to be an 1/2 inch bigger on each side then the template
  2. Sew the side seams of the sash.
  3. Glue the sides down to the sash with the 1/2 inch seam allowance.
  4. I used my Cricut to cut a vinyl stencil for the sash so it would stick nicely when I painted it.
  5. Before I painted on the real sash, I tested it out to see how badly it would bleed or smear.
  6. Paint the front side and let dry.
  7. Paint the back side and let dry.
  8. Enjoy!
